Memorial Biography

Lawrence J. Tomaszewski, age 84, of Armstrong Creek, passed away unexpectedly March 8, 2018. He was born in Armstrong Creek on December 10, 1933, the son of Frank and Mary (Drag) Tomaszewski. After graduating from the Goodman-Armstrong Creek high school, Larry joined the U.S. Army and served 3 years. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned and worked for Western Electric. He enjoyed his trout pond, moving lawn, working in his garden, visiting and talking with friends. For the winter months, he spent his time in St. Petersburg, FL. He is survived by his children, Judy (Dave) Arneson of Colorado, Mark (Cindy) Tomaszewski of Florida, Jim Tomaszewski of Illinois, Laura (John) Connor of Wisconsin, Steve (Julia) Tomaszewski of Illinois, Amy (Dave) Hoffman of Wisconsin, and Brenda (Tim) Yost of Illinois; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Ed (Beatrice) of Green Bay and Dennis (Renette) of Armstrong Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and John; and sisters, Martha and Frances. A Memorial Mass will be held June 16 at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church ¡n Armstrong Creek. Visitation is at 10a.m., Mass is at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Goodman-Armstrong Creek Food Bank can be made in care of the Laona State Bank.
